Here we are testing what happens with the Gons.

• The AMPL token has 9 decimal points, and so the smallest possible amount you can send is Λ0.000000001 AMPL.
• What happens with this Ample after a negative rebase? What if after that, there is a bigger positive rebase?

Will this Ample be lost for ever? Or will it revive?

The theory

Smart community members on Discord have the following theory about this.

• This Ample will revive because, an Ample is actually represented by two numbers
1. An underlying amount which does not change - Called GONS
2. Rebase multiplier

- And so an Ample is actually: GONS times Multiplier = AMPL
- And so 0 Ample on Etherscan/Wallet could still be bigger than 1 GONS
- And so given enough positive rebases this Ample will revive.

We have sent Λ0.000000001 AMPL to a test wallet to see what happens. We will snapshot on a daily basis (~30mins after rebase) the AMPL and GONS balance of this test wallet.

So when you have Amples you are actually stacking GONS. You can find back your GONS amount by using etherscan on the AMPL contract using the scaledBalanceOf function.
- uFragments are called Gons.
- Gons times rebase scale factor = your Ample amount.
